  1. Fall 2018 Graduating Students

Please remember to apply for graduation. The instructions to do so are listed below. The deadline (without the late fee) is tomorrow Saturday, September 1st, 2018. After this deadline you will still be able to graduate, however, you will be charged a $50 Late Fee. The only thing that must be completed by Sept. 1st is the online application.
After submitting your graduation application, you will be sent an email saying that you need to contact your academic advisor to complete a degree audit. The degree audit does not have to be completed by the Sept. 1st deadline, but we do encourage students not to delay too much after applying for graduation to complete their degree audit.
Instructions to apply for Graduation via UAccess:

We recommend you apply for graduation the semester before you intend to graduate. Only the next four calendar year terms are available to select in the application. If you will not complete your degree within one of those terms, you will remain eligible to apply until your term becomes available.

Deadlines to Apply:
Spring and Summer graduates - February 1st of the intended semester.
Fall and Winter graduates - September 1st of the intended semester.

To proceed:

1. Click return to navigate back to your Student Center home page.

2. Select "Apply for Graduation" from the drop-down menu, which is located under Academics.

3. Select the "Apply for Graduation" link next to the degree program for which you are applying.

4. Follow the instructions on each page of the application.
Once your application is submitted, you will receive an email with instructions for next steps.

5) Online Bioc 384 and Online Bioc 385 - Winter 2018 (see attached fliers)

Distinguished Professor Roger Miesfeld is again teaching the online versions of Bioc 384/385 over Winter Session:

Bioc 384 "Foundations in Biochemistry"
Bioc 385 "Metabolic Biochemistry"

These Winter session online Bioc courses cover the same material as the normal semester and Summer session online courses. Last Winter 28 students completed online Bioc 384 and 29 students completed online Bioc 385. No doubt these are challenging online courses, however, success in Winter 2017 with student completion indicates highly motivated students can do well in these two courses even on a tight schedule.

Winter session runs from December 17 - January 8 and registration for Winter session begins on November 12. Draft syllabi for these two online courses are attached. Minimum enrollment of 15 student is required for each course to be offered; there is no maximum enrollment limit.
