Student Database Work

The University of Arizona Herbarium is currently searching for a part-time student employee to assist with managing our collection of plant specimens.
The student will utilize software for entering and correcting information from plant specimen labels into an existing web-enabled collections database.

Essential qualifications:
* Enrolled at UA as an undergraduate for at least 6 credit hours
* Excellent organizational skills
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
* Available for approximately 10 hours/week

Preferred qualifications:
* Available for two semesters or more
* Experience collecting or working with plant specimens
* Courses in plant taxonomy or other organism-level biology
* Experience with databases / websites
* Interest in natural history museums

Salary begins at $10.50/ hour Depending on Experience
