Environmental Arts
The Arts Committee just finished the second painting of the Highland Cistern in the Community Garden! There was a community painting event and it went really well. Stop by the garden to check it out!

Environmental Health
The Health Committee has been working on planning a panel about food deserts. They hope to have the panel next semester in Septemeber. Keep your eyes out for it on our social medias!

Environmental Social Justice
Our EcoSoJo Committee has been hard at work with their Decolonizing Sustainability Panel Series. These panels are in collaboration with the six cultural centers on campus. So far we've completed panels with the WRC, LGBTQ+ Center and the Guerrero Center. See flyers for the last two panels this month! (see Facebook for updates on the location of APASA Panel)

HydroCats
The HydroCats have been working on awater basin in our very own Community Garden. These water basins collect water for it to percolate into the groundwater instead of being swept away through the gutters. They have also been working with the state prison to implement water harvesting.

Energy and Climate
The Energy Committee is in the process of installing solar panels on the roof of ENR2. They will also be tabling at our Earth Day Event on 4/18 discussing the impacts of food on the climate and tips to save energy!

Waste Reduction
The Waste Committee is going to bediverting waste at Spring Fling again this year! They worked with all food vendors to make sure all materials are compostable or recyclable! Look out for us and make sure to sort your waste correctly!

Food For All
The Food Committee is always working on their table at the Farmers Markets on campus every Wednesday. They collaborate with Market on the Move to distribute 20 pounds of food for only $10. This Committee is also working with the Student Unions to promote sustainability and better food options.

Greening the Game
Greening the Game has been hard at work recycling and composting at the UA softball games. Contact Celeste  at colmenares at email.arizona.edu<mailto:colmenares at email.arizona.edu> for more information on how to get involved as a volunteer for the basketball, softball and football games!

Garden
The Garden Committee has successfully installed their Seed Library in the Science and Engineering Library (totally free seeds!). It has been so successful they are going to apply for more funding for more seeds! They also are always working on maintaining the garden and planting seeds. Go to the SFS Website to rent out a plot to have your very own garden!

SFS Wide Events
Join SFS on the UA Mall next week to celebrate Earth Day! Many of our committees will be there tabling with different activities and even free food! Come learn how to be sustainable with some awesome students!
