Hello all,

Please forward the following 3-credit internship opportunity to your UA student contacts and listservs!

The Bio/Diversity Internship will begin in the fall semester of 2017 and is focused on engaging K-12 students from groups that are typically underrepresented in the science fields in targeted science and mentorship opportunities.

This internship also provides high-achieving students with opportunities for paid summer or fall positions with the National Park Service in 2018.
All application materials are due by May 31st.

Students who are interested in applying should complete the following steps by May 31st:

The Bio/Diversity Project<http://wise.arizona.edu/the-biodiversity-project> is run through the UA Women in Science and Engineering Program and designed to promote the entry and success of underrepresented groups in the environmental science fields. The internship provides outdoor educational opportunities for K-12 youth and will also offer targeted training and mentorship opportunities for university level students.

UA students can participate in this internship for 3-units of academic credit (per semester) through the following departments:

  *   Soil, Water and Environmental Science
  *   Teaching, Learning and Sociocultural Studies
  *   Gender and Women's Studies
  *   General Studies
  *   UA Honors College
