I want to personally make you aware of a special opportunity for young leaders in American agriculture. In October of 2017, Bayer will bring together 100 young people between the ages of 18 and 25 from across the globe to discuss potential solutions to global agricultural challenges.

This "Youth Ag Summit" will take place in Brussels, Belgium. The 100 delegates will represent 45 countries where Bayer operates and they will be selected via an essay competition.  The U.S. is responsible for selecting four delegates and this is where we need your help.

We want the U.S. to be well represented and so we are looking for the most talented young thought leaders from our industry. We think that the best candidates for this honor will possess:

*                    Demonstrated leadership skills

*                    Good understanding of global agricultural challenges

*                    Openness to new ideas

*                    Ability to work in teams / build relationships

*                    Good communication skills

I'm sure you know of someone between the ages of 18 and 25 that fits this bill. I ask that you encourage them to visit www.youthagsummit.com<http://www.youthagsummit.com> to learn more about the event, view the essay question and criteria, and then apply online.

The deadline to apply is January 13, 2017. Travel, accommodations and all meals associated with the Summit are covered by Bayer.
