PLS 359 (3 credits) Plant Cell Structure and Function will be offered online Winter Session 2016
This 3 credit, upper division plant biology course fulfills a requirement for Plant Science majors and minors and can satisfy the upper division units required for the Sustainable Plant Systems major. This is an online only course. Lectures will be available as podcast recordings. Students will work with an unknown drought tolerant or drought susceptible mutant in Arabidopsis and perform various cell biological, molecular biology, plant biology techniques to study the mutant and identify the mutation in a gene that is important for drought tolerance.
