JOUR 465 Issues in Covering Science and the Environment
Dr. Carol B. Schwalbe
Upper Division Communication
We’ll read/watch/listen to great journalism and discuss hot-button issues with scientists, environmental reporters and science journalists. We’ll go on a few field trips around campus. We received a grant to buy water, soil and air sensors, which we’ll use to gather data for a reporting project, possibly with the Arizona Daily Star. The course is open to students in any major. There aren’t any prereqs. I’ve attached a flyer.
