Howdy!
I am currently a volunteer for the Latinos in Agriculture Organization (http://latinosinagriculture.org<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__latinosinagriculture.org&d=CwMGaQ&c=ODFT-G5SujMiGrKuoJJjVg&r=o8HZZxLAsonqwq4uGeB7ysapdsktYOwjw53uE8xBm8A&m=h6oMhsYGWjigFXtDDewce_XT0sEOr3p2oKTk2Ob-9XI&s=qZpZTeoROCkWK8Jc2AJO5e-U971_PJXuzx54FfhFOZU&e=>) and thus would like to let you know that we have created an opportunity for students to attend the upcoming conference by applying for a “student scholarship”. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students with the cost of the conference registration, meals associated with the conference, and hotel accommodations (based on double occupancy).
The Latinos in Agriculture Leaders Conference provides a unique venue for sharing information and ideas for the best and most promising practices in outreach to Hispanics for Agriculture. The objective of the conference is to facilitate the opportunity for industry, government, education, and future leaders (students) to meet and discuss the transformation of the Latino Agricultural workforce of the future. The 6th Annual Latinos in Agriculture Leaders Conference will continue to engage stakeholders in capitalizing on the opportunities not yet fully explored with the Latino community in Agriculture and related fields.

• foster and identify Hispanic undergraduate and graduate future leaders (students) who may be interested in your organization;
• promote greater Hispanic participation in Agriculture and related fields; and discuss emerging trends in higher education affecting Hispanics.
The deadline for students to apply is Friday, September 2, 2016. Any assistance you can provide in letting students know about this great professional development opportunity will be greatly appreciated.
The conference will be at the Courtyard & Towne Place Suites by Marriott DFW Airport North in Grapevine, TX.
