> Pima Prickly Park Workday
>
> The Tucson Cactus and Succulent Society is having a work day at the park on Saturday April 30th, from 7:30-9:30 am (or until we get done or it gets hot). We will meet at the hoop house. Parking is available at the north end of the park; 3500 W. River Road or the east entrance at 5845 N. Camino De La Tierra. There is a large dirt parking area with a pedestrian entrance. The Pima county nursery is next door to this entrance.
>
> Plans are to plant in a new area slightly north and west of the hoop house. We have just installed a bench and would like to get plants in the ground before the serious heat starts. For the strong and hearty we also have a pile of rocks we would like to sort through but that is a low priority.
>
> Please bring shovels, rakes, (the jack hammer was very helpful at the last work day), trowels. We have some extra tongs. Wear sturdy shoes, hats. Bring water although I will have some on site. We may have access to restrooms but I can’t guarantee it.
>
> I will provide water and a few snacks. Volunteers are welcome to take a plant from the hoop house as a thank you for your time.
>
> Please RSVP to park at tucsoncactus.org by 4/28/16 to give me an idea of how many plants to set out.
