[Plsugs] VOLUNTEER - Plant Sciences Needs Your Help ASAP

Hello Plant Science and SPS Students.

I am currently looking for 3 to 4 volunteers to help out with the School of Plant Science booth at Meet Your Major which is being held October 7th from 11 until 2. For those of you who do not know Meet Your Major is an event  designed to allow students to explore the large variety of majors at the University. As a volunteer at the event you would be assisting with the School of Plant Science's booth talking with interested students about your experiences and all the opportunities they have in the School of Plant Sciences. You will also be giving out free plants from the Undergraduate Plant Science Club (LSSA). (If you would like you can take one as well). If you are interested in helping we are looking for volunteers for the following shifts.

11-12

12-1

1-2

2-2:30

Thanks for taking care of the plant prep and attempting to staff the MYM event with students. Will you write up a request for help and send it to me. I can then relay it to all our majors through the PLSUGS list. Hopefully, this will capture a few more students who aren’t currently involved with the LSSA.

Yes we have 50 plus spider plants ready for next week. Anything that is extra will be good for vision to your future. As far as volunteers so far the only person who has been able to do it is Stephen. I am still trying to find more people but most the plant science majors that are in the club are in your class or are in a different class.

Vision to Your Future is a free annual recruitment event sponsored by the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology and School of Plant Sciences. This event is aimed at recruiting high school and community college students to our two departments.

This year, Vision To Your Future will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 10AM to 12PM in the Keating Building, University of Arizona Main Campus.
