Below, please find an informal announcement of a lab technician position for a recent UA graduate to work with Crop Production Services at the Tucson location (funding for the position will be split with BioFeed Technologies, a Scottsdale Company). It is at Jerald Wheeler's lab on the CPS property, but the company will be BioFeed Technologies, Scottsdale.

The salary will be $40,000 per year plus some health insurance of which will probably be split 50/50 with the two companies.

We do product development.  That is, we work with amendments, organic fertilizers, algae, humate, fulvates, beneficial bacteria, soil amendments etc. and determine the level of activity in the lab and greenhouse using both bioassays and small container trials.  We also make recommendations about how to improve the formulations.

As you know I do diagnostic work and that would be part of the experience.

My expectation is that the person would work here a year or two to hopefully gain knowledge and experience then we would help them find another position.  I consult for CPS and a couple of other companies.  Notwithstanding, we have contacts with many farmers and companies involved in agriculture.

I have had three lab technicians over the years and all 3 have gone on to better positions.

I am sorry that I do not have a complete description of the position.  It has to come from BioFeed Technologies.
