Dear Students,

The mission of the Dean's Leadership 50(DL50) Program is to provide CALS students with experiences and opportunities to build advanced career skills related to leadership coupled with management and entrepreneurship.  The activities and events of the DL50 focus on experiences that lead to outstanding management skills and increase understanding of that it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.  Experiences include, small group dinners with executives, development of an outstanding career portfolio, leading and participating in projects with an entrepreneurial focus, and community networking.

Students who are interested can email Kyle Sharp  ksharp at email.arizona.edu<mailto:ksharp at email.arizona.edu> or attend 1 of 2 information open houses September 4th 9:30am-11am or September 8th 2pm-4pm both will be held in Forbes 204A1.

There will be a change in the selection process this year.  As part of their application packet students can, but are not required to, include a letter of support from an advisor or faculty member.  These letter will have significant influence on the selection process.  Students will submit an application, targeted cover letter, tailored resume with the optional letter of support.  Students will then go through screening interviews and  selections will be made no later than September 19th.  Candidates for the DL50 must be a sophomore enrolled in a CALS major with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
