We wanted to make sure that you, other faculty and your students who are
interested in sustainable and indoor agriculture knew about the upcoming
<http://agnevada.seedstock.com/> Nevada Indoor Agriculture Conference that
will be held at the Historic 5th Street School in Las Vegas on April 24th.
The one day conference will bring together a diverse audience of thought
leaders, industry professionals, entrepreneurs, farmers and investors to
explore solutions and opportunities to increase indoor agriculture
production in a sustainable manner. 

 

Conference Details: 

 

PRESENTED by THE NEVADA GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT and
SEEDSTOCK, a social venture focused on innovation and sustainability in
agriculture through the use of a variety of tools, including the news and
information blog  <http://seedstock.com/> seedstock.com and live events.

 

The event will examine topic areas ranging from indoor agriculture
technologies from hydroponics to aeroponics and beyond, the logistics of
setting up an indoor agriculture operation in an arid environment, local
food systems and sourcing, investment and funding mechanisms to launch an
operation and more. The conference will also boast a Farm-to-Fork lunch
prepared by renowned chef and current James Beard semi-finalist, Mark Estee
of Campo.
