2 positions

 

Time commitment:

10-15 hours during the spring semester and must be available for work during
the summer (20-30 hours)

 

Start/end dates:

Feb 25; position can continue into summer and future semesters

 

Description of research to be done by student (in layman's terms):

Molecular genetics of salt tolerance in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana
and a salt-tolerant relative, Eutrema salsugineum.

 

Requirements (ie: GPA, class standing, previous course work):

Student must have taken MCB 181R/L, 182 and introductory chemistry.  Student
must have blocks of time for work of at least two hours several days a week.
