Summer positions will be opening for full-time research assistants in cotton
integrated pest management (IPM), as part of Dr. Peter C. Ellsworth's
laboratory. Duties include field sampling for insects, insect
identification, plant tissue collection and lab work on microscopes counting
and identifying insects. A variety of routine or repetitive technical duties
may also be necessary to assist research projects, including outdoor summer
fieldwork caring for experimental plots. No experience is required and all
training will be provided.

 

All work performed furthers our understanding of insect biology and pest
management and is used in furtherance of Cooperative Extension programs of
outreach to growers and pest managers in Arizona. The Cotton IPM program is
part of the Arizona Pest Management Center.
