Are you looking to travel over Spring Break and make a difference?!  Global
and leadership experiences set you apart in today's competitive work
environment.  Whether you are looking for a leadership opportunity, looking
to go into grad school, or hoping to join the work force- this initiative
helps you STAND OUT!  

 

Global Brigades is a national 501 (c) 3, certified NGO.  Your help will not
only give you international work experience but also helps the bottom line
of breaking the poverty cycle.  We are a holistic and sustainable
development organization which EMPOWERS students to IMPACT lives.  

This Spring Break, March 2013, our student- led club will travel to Ghana
and develop a rain water harvesting system for a school and/or family.

Why should you come?

.  1 in 4 peole in rural Ghana do not have access to clean drinking water

.  For ever 1 volunteer, 36 students receive access to clean drinking water
at school

.  5-6 volunteers can = clean drinking water for an entire family year round

.  Hands on sustainable development work

.  A chance to network with not only us, but students and professionals from
around the world

Here's our upcoming events: 

October 16, "The Fix" % Day and Dinner with Us!: "The Fix" on University,
5:30- 8 pm
The whole day we are going to have a %  day at "The Fix".  At 5:30- 8 pm
have dinner with past brigaders, members, and anyone else who wants to come,
at The Fix on University. Besides eating the best mac and cheese around,
hang out with our members to ask any questions you may have or just talk.
This is a great chance to get to know us and other people! Plus proceeds
will go back to GWB and our water project in Ghana!  Mention you are with
Global Water Brigades so that we get credit!  Or bring the flyer on the
event. 

October 23, SUMC, Room TBA, 8:30 pm: GB Information Session
Learn everything you need to know about Global Water Brigades Ghana. We will
delve deeper into the Spring Break Brigade and also talk about how you can
get involved with our mission without going on the trip!

October 30, SUMC Sabino Room 8 pm: GWB Ghana Information Session
Learn everything you need to know about Global Water Brigades Ghana. We will
delve deeper into the Spring Break Brigade and also talk about how you can
get involved with our mission without going on the trip!

As you can see there a bunch of ways for you to get involved this semester.
If you are in any way interested, please come to one of these events to talk
