We are looking for undergrads to present a research poster
at our MCB/PLS poster session this fall!
The poster session is a primary component of the Vision To Your Future
recruitment event (flyer attached), designed to show case MCB and PLS majors
to visiting high school and community college students and their
instructors. It will be held on Saturday, October 13th from approximately
10AM to 12:00 noon. The 1-hour poster session will highlight current
undergraduates' research, so that visitors can learn about the amazing
things that our students do!
Why should you present?
1. This event is a great opportunity for you to practice presenting your
research in layman's terms in a casual, low-stress setting.
2. It's a presentation you can us to enhance your resume, especially for
graduate and medical schools!
3. Pay it forward: There's no price you can put on the gratification
you'll get from making others learn more about your research.
Please consider presenting at this fall's Vision To Your Future event! Your
abstract and poster should be prepared in a manner that can be easily
understood by a high school senior. For example you can focus on broad
themes, central question of your research, approaches taken to answer these
questions, and key data obtained from your work.
