To Students:
How green are you? This career and networking panel is for students
interested in finding out how to turn an interest in sustainability into a
career. Sustainability careers can run the gamut from small operations
exclusively focused on extreme recycling to specialized departments in large
corporations seeking to reduce their organization's carbon footprint. Find
out how you can earn some green while promoting green alternatives at this
informative panel.
Sustainability Career Panel & Networking Event

in the Catalina and Tucson Meeting Rooms
at the Student Union Memorial Center
You can look forward to meeting:
Lisa Perez, CEO of Global Green Integrators. Lisa is an entrepreneur using
her extensive IT, process and business intelligence background to assist
commercial groups in finding viable alternative solutions to various waste
problems. As part of the Reuse/Renew generation, she does Extreme Recycling
T, going above and beyond typical recycling.
Hyte Johnson, Director of Environmental Health and safety for Raytheon
Missile Systems. Raytheon, the largest employer in Southern Arizona,
measures their green success by how much waste can be diverted from
landfills. In 2009, Raytheon diverted 70% of their generated waste under the
sustainability mantra of reduce, reuse, recycle. Hyte brings 19 years'
experience managing environmental affairs for various Fortune 500 companies
to the table.
Michael Kazz, President of Grecycle. Geycycle Arizona is Arizona's first
certified biodiesel company. Michael is an alum of UA with an M.S. in
Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. He's been active for 20 years in
the field of environmental services and the development of sustainable
products.
Lisette DeMars, Membership Coordinator for Local First Arizona. Lisette
brings a unique perspective on sustainable economics through strong local
economies that promote the environment, economy and culture.
Michael Baruch and Ted Burhans from Tucson Electric Power. Michael runs
TEP's Bright HomeSave program, a great energy saving opportunity for
customers and Ted specializes in issues surrounding renewable energy.
Space is limited, food and beverage is included (free!) and interested
students are asked to RSVP for this career panel/networking event online at
