Medicinal Plants

Description: A course specially designed to provide an appreciation for the
contribution of plants to traditional, complementary and modern medicines.
Topics include:  History and use of plants to cure diseases, Traditional
systems of medicine employing medicinal plants, Theraputic uses of plants,
Psychoactive plants, Beneficial Effects of some food plants,
Ethnopharmacology and chemistry of medicinal plants
