Dear Plant Sciences majors,
Networking, work experience and participation in professional organizations
are important to your success after graduation and the School of Plant
Science Faculty would like to help you with this!
Although, many of you have worked with an academic advisor to coordinate
your class planning, you may have wondered where to go to
. discuss your career options
. find work on or off campus related to your studies
. connect with internship opportunities
. get involved with national professional organizations
For this reason, I am inviting you to participate in a new professional
development program
the School of Plant Sciences has created for you.
We will be assigning you to work with a Faculty member from the School of
Plant Sciences who will be a new resource for you to help you identify
career paths, professional organizations, work or internship opportunities
etc. and to talk to when you need help. The faculty participating include
the following: (color coded by their focus on : microbiology (peach), plant
biology (grey) or horticulture and controlled environments (green)
