The Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute is looking for a Director of
Horticulture to oversee the development of our botanical gardens. The
Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute is located in the small, rural
community of Fort Davis in west Texas. We don't have a large pool of
qualified candidates, so I am seeking your help in getting the word out. See

The gardens were established in 1978 and represent plants native to the
Chihuahuan Desert region. In addition to approximately 20 acres of woody
trees and shrubs, the CDRI's Living Plant Collection includes over 200
species of cacti and succulents native to the region.
 
We are looking for a special person that can develop and curate the
collection (including maintaining meticulous records!), work with volunteers
and staff to take care of  the gardens, and serve as a resource for our
educational programs. In other words, we need someone that can do it all!
