Garden in the Desert

You're invited to our second garden work day!

This Sunday May 1st at 1pm-6pm.

So if you're free please come out and support us! We'll be trying to finish
up the garden beds we dug out- so there will be digging, sifting, and wheel
barreling. And if you stick around till the end we're planning on going out
to Gavindas afterward to celebrate at 7pm.

There will be some prepared food and water, but do try to bring your own
water bottles and plates. Also be prepared for the heat, sun, and hard work.

Also check out our blog at http://ogitd.blogspot.com/ and our facebook group
at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Garden-in-the-Desert/212519212093588

One more thing:

 - Please go to http://www.communitiestakeroot.com/ and vote for the Tucson
Community Food Banks' Marana Farm so that they will win a free fruit orchard
that will go to feeding families and their assistance programs along with
offering educational opportunities. You can vote with all your emails and
once every day up to the end of the round on May31st, we're on 7th and if we
reach the top 5 we will get an orchard, if not our votes get transferred and
we get a second chance in the next round.

Hope you can make it, and please spread the word! We would love all the help
we can get.

For those who don't know, the plot is on the corner of Mabel St. and
Highland. Email if you have any questions, and if you get lost on the day
you can Caleb who will be there (8602370381).

Thank you.

Yours truly,

UACG Sugar Beet Secretary
