3 Star Lettuce is an aggressive, innovative, and independent lettuce seed
company based in Gonzales, CA. 3 Star Lettuce is an industry leader in
research, development, production, and sales of iceberg, romaine, leaf, and
spring mix lettuce seed.   At our Yuma, AZ office we have two job openings
we wish to fill as soon as possible.

 

Yuma Product Development.   This position entails scheduling, planting, and
evaluating field trials with experimental and commercial varieties of
lettuce seed.  The position involves interaction with growers,  shipper
representatives, and harvesters.  Ability to write business reports needed.
Fundamental farming knowledge is useful.  An understanding of lettuce
quality components is desired.  Bachelors degree in plant science preferred
but not necessarily required. This  is a full time, year round position
based in Yuma, Arizona.  Some travel required.  Competitive wages paid.
Vehicle, phone, computer, office, health insurance provided, and 401K
available.

 

Yuma Research and Development.  This position entails researching,
developing, and evaluating new varieties of lettuce seed.  Working under the
Research Director, this person will carry out the research program for the
desert growing areas.  Ability to write research reports needed.
Fundamental farming knowledge is useful.  An understanding of lettuce
quality components is desired.  Bachelors degree in plant science preferred,
Masters degree helpful. This  is a full time, year round position based in
Yuma, Arizona.  Some travel required.  Competitive wages paid.  Vehicle,
