All:

CALS faculty and ambassadors met with the CBP Border Commissioner a few
weeks ago. As a result of the meeting, the Commissioner has funded 5

Student Career Training Program (SCEP) positions at the Nogales Port of
Entry with the Agricultural Inspection service. Student can be from any
major in CALS.

SCEP duties are all encompassing from clerical to lab and supervised
inspection work. Duties also include public relation events, care of seized

birds and other wildlife, working with K9 units in training exercises and in
K9 outreach activities. There is a complete description in the attached SCEP
announcement.

I will be working with CBP to organize an information session sometime next
week, I will send out an announcement as soon as I can. Let me know if you
have any questions,

FS
