Subject: BS Degree in ANTHROPOLOGY!
Importance: High

Hi. After months of preparation we are now ready to officially begin adding
students to the BS in Anthropology degree, with an emphasis on either Human
Biology or Archaeology. Attached you will find the finalized versions of
the curriculum for the degrees. Please read these over carefully. You will
then need to come in and talk with either Dr. Gillett-Netting, our Director
of Undergraduate Studies or myself so we can go over the major with you and
add it for you.

Unfortunately because it is priority registration time I do not have any
appointments for the next month. These are my walk-in hours over the next
few weeks:

Week of October 11th - 15th

Walk-in hours (no apppointments): TR 10-12, MW 1:30-3:30

Weeks including October 18th-22nd, 25th-29th, Nov 1st - Nov 5th

Walk-in hours (no appointments): MTWR 10-12, WM 1:30-3:30

I have a meeting Wednesday, Nov 3rd, so will have reduced hours from 11-12.

Week of November 8th - 12th:

Walk-in hours (no appointments); M 1:30-3:30; T 10-12, out of office
November 10, 11 and 12

My advise would be to come in the morning, if you can, as they aren't my
normal walk in hours and most likely they will be less crowded. During
priority registration, degree changes have lower prority because they take
half-an-hour or more. I take students with quick questions first.

Also note that if you have transfer science or math credits that you think
are equivalent to those general education credits required for the BS
degree, you will need to take your transcript as well as the course
description to the associated department's advisor for evaluation. We, here
in the School of Anthropology, are not equipped to evaluate the equivalency
of science or math courses. If your courses are deemed equivalent, the
advisor in the appropriate department can move them on your advisement
report so they show up as equivalent.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best, Ann
