Subject: Please help us encourage students to make a federal case out of
their job search!
Sent on behalf of Career Services:
Thousands of federal government jobs are advertised on any given day. It's
true. Even in these challenging economic times, thousands of stable, salary
competitive, government jobs are just a few key strokes away if students
know where to find them.
Two upcoming webinars will help explain the hiring process to students
interested in working for the federal government. The webinars are designed
both for students and for advisors seeking to gain information on federal
employment to share with their students.
Federal Internships: Find and Apply for Summer 2011 Wednesday, October 20 at
2pm Career Services Workshop Room, Suite 411, Student Union Memorial Center
This webinar is for students interested in finding and applying for federal
government internships for Summer 2011. During this session, a number of
exciting internships across government will be highlighted and the
presenters will show students how to research, find and apply for an
internship that's right for them.
Federal Jobs: Find and Apply for Full-Time Work in 2011 Tuesday, October 26
at 2pm Career Services Workshop Room, Suite 411, Student Union Memorial
Center
This webinar is for students interested in finding and applying for
full-time jobs with the federal government. During this session, presenters
will highlight a number of exciting full-time jobs across government and
show students how to research, find and apply for a job that's right for
them.
While the private sector has been hit hard by this recession, the federal
government has the potential to be one of the decidedly bright spots when it
comes to employment opportunities. With 50 percent of the federal work force
eligible for either early or regular retirement in the next few years, and
additional hiring for new health care and banking regulatory jobs being
created on an ongoing basis, it is in your students' interest to explore
federal government opportunities.
Both of these webinars are products of the Partnership for Public Services'
Making the Difference Campaign.
