The School of Information: Science, Technology and Arts will have a new
course that might be of interest to some of your students. The course is
currently open and available if your students are looking to add classes to
their Spring 2011 schedule. If you could spread the word to your students we
would greatly appreciate it.
ISTA 454/554, Informatics in Biology (3 units):
Mary Paniscus, MoWe 2pm-3:50pm in Gould-Simpson 930, Requisites-ECOL 182R OR
ISTA 130 (or equivalent programming course), at least Junior Standing
Analyze genomic sequences through understanding and using a variety of
bioinformatics algorithms and software tools. Interdisciplinary approach
integrating informatics, statistics, and biology.
