<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">Academic Appointments end on May 21 2023 and begin again on August 14, 2023. If you plan on working during Summer 2023,

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">Attached you will find the summer compensation form for your graduate students. (Note: All GA’s are on an academic appointment and will end on 5/21/2023). Please use the form to discuss with your grad student
their summer work plans and funding. <span style="background:yellow">Deadline for submitting the request forms attached is
<b>Friday May 5, 2023</b>.</span> An announcement will be sent to all graduate students directing them to coordinate their summer plans with you.</p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">Reminder, in order to be eligible for summer compensation, one of the following must apply:</p>
<ul type="disc" style="margin-top:0in">
<li class="x_MsoListParagraph" style="">Student must be pre-enrolled for 6+ units for Fall 2023 (this will be checked)</li></ul>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:1.5in"><b>OR</b></p>
<ul type="disc" style="margin-top:0in">
<li class="x_MsoListParagraph" style="">Student must be enrolled for 6+ for Summer 2023</li></ul>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"> </p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">Students who are graduating during the summer months must be enrolled during the summer in order to be paid by the faculty advisor.</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"> </p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">The form attached need to have the following information completed:</p>
<ul type="disc" style="margin-top:0in">
<li class="x_MsoListParagraph" style="">Student Information</li><li class="x_MsoListParagraph" style="">Short description of the work to be performed over the summer</li><li class="x_MsoListParagraph" style="">Weekly authorization of number of hours the student can work and the account number the student should be funded on</li><li class="x_MsoListParagraph" style="">Time supervisor name and PI signature</li></ul>

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><b>Pay Rates</b>: unless otherwise negotiated, all students will follow the following pay scale- Assistant $25.00/hour, Associate $26.88/hour. If you wish to change this rate or would like to develop a graduate
funding plan, please coordinate with Nate Eakman.</p>
