<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">I’m sending a special note to let you all know about coming changes to the School of Plant Sciences’ leadership structure, including some changes that will affect the graduate program. On March 8, 2021, Dr.
Shelley McMahon will be stepping away from serving as the Director of Graduate Studies for our School, and Dr. Monica Schmidt will become the new Director of Graduate Studies. Dr. McMahon will continue to provide service to graduate education as part of her
new role as the School’s Associate Director of Academic Programs. Dr. Dave Baltrus will be appointed as the new Coordinator for Digital Learning and Online Education, and will likewise make impacts on our graduate program where his work touches on graduate
courses and related experiences. Finally, I want to let you know that Georgina Lambert, our School’s Senior Program Coordinator, has recently announced that she will be retiring in late July 2021. Georgina has done outstanding work over the years, and we’ll
miss having her leadership on so many issues. We’ll be looking to fill that important position soon.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Many changes for the School, and also many new opportunities, as we move forward. I am very thankful for all the work that has been done by the folks above to help grow our programs, and for the plans by
people in new roles to take our programs to the next level. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
