<span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:black">We are excited to announce that UArizona has joined CIRTL, the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning. This is an international network of almost 40 research universities across the U.S. and
Canada that collaborate to provide free professional development opportunities for graduate students and postdocs interested in teaching as part of their academic careers. As members participate in local and cross-network offerings, such as courses and workshops
on themes like<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>gender equity and inclusive teaching,<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>they work toward earning nationally recognized certificate levels that demonstrate their initiation into evidence-based
teaching and learning. Local offerings will include taking electives from OIA’s Certificate in College Teaching, co-teaching with an expert teacher, participating in faculty learning communities, taking a course on teaching writing across the curriculum, and
working on teaching projects (more information coming soon on locally-sponsored CIRTL events!).<o:p></o:p></span></p>
