<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The GPSC Travel Grants can be used to fund any kind of travel related to your academic career or professional development. Mostly, we fund requests to support travel to
conferences, national meetings, workshops, and symposia. But there are lots of other potential uses for these grants. GPSC Travel Grants can be used to fund travel to participate in a performance, conduct archival research, collect data, and more!

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Our goal is for GPSC Travel Grants to support the travel needs of all graduate and professional students, so if you’ve got travel plans related to your academic or professional

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Our first round of applications for the GPSC Travel Grant opened on September 1st. Each round is open for a month, so applications for this first round are due
October 1st, by 11:59pm AZ time. There will be three other application cycles this academic year (dates TBD).

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">One of the best things about our Travel Grants program is that
you can request funding for travel that occurs at any point during the same fiscal year as your application. What does that mean exactly? The university’s fiscal year runs from July 1st to June 30th of the following year (so, 07/01/2018
to 06/30/2019 in this case). Let’s say you conducted fieldwork in late July 2018—you’re eligible to apply for a GPSC Travel Grant in
any of the four rounds between now and May 2019. What about if you have a conference coming up in February 2019? You can submit an application for the September round, in advance of your travel; or you can submit to one of the spring rounds after your
travel is complete. In short, there’s a lot of flexibility as far as when you can apply for different travel dates.

an insider’s perspective on the grant evaluation process.
