This symposium is part of the larger Pioneer Plant Science Symposia Series, which was started in 2008 as student run symposia at universities around the world. UC Davis has been involved since 2012, and this is our 7</span><sup><span style="font-size:6.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">th</span></sup><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">
year running. In those 7 years we have seen steady growth, attracting over 400 registrants last year. This year’s event is being held at the UC Davis Conference Center on April 16th.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

.Successful applicants will be selected competitively based on their abstract submission and should be prepared to deliver a 5 minute flash talk focused on their submitted abstract on the day of the symposium. The scholarships will be used to cover travel
to and from the symposium and accommodations during your stay. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
