<p class="MsoNormal">Here’s an interesting opportunity for someone with BS and an interest in field research. This is to work with Jonathan Lynch’s root biology team. The actual site is about 15 mi south of Willcox.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#333333;background:white">A five-month position is open at The Pennsylvania State University for a field-lab technician to participate in research at the Apache Root Biology Center (ARBC)
in Willcox, Arizona. We are seeking two candidates from May to October, with some flexibility on the starting/ending date. The offer includes a salary, on-farm housing, and meals. We also provide air travel from/to State College or your closest main city.
Functions include providing support in instrumentation, data management, and laboratory and field operations. The Technician’s duties include helping with measurements (soil moisture, plant growth, others) and crop management (weed, pest and disease monitoring,
irrigation, etc.), and also helping graduate students with lab tasks. Typically, it requires 1+ years related experience, Bachelor`s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the area of agronomy or similar. Please contact
