<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-size:9.5pt;color:black">Speaker Bio: </span></i><span style="font-size:9.5pt;color:black"><br>
Dennis Meredith's career as a science communicator has included service at some of the country's leading research universities, including MIT, Caltech, Cornell, Duke and the Universities of Rhode Island and Wisconsin. He has worked with science journalists
at many of the nation's major newspapers, magazines, and radio and TV networks and has written over a thousand news releases and magazine articles on science and engineering over the course of his career. Mr. Meredith has also worked with federal agencies
and scientific journals, including NSF and the Public Library of Science, to help them develop policies for communicating research and collaborating with public information officers. He has given seminars on science communications and public affairs for NASA
and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. He has also worked as a research communication consultant through which he develops and conducts custom-tailored, hands-on workshops for groups, such as researchers at universities, research foundations,
and government agencies and laboratories.</span><b><br>
