Dear Plant Sciences faculty and graduate students,

Our faculty has committed to offering a school-wide journal club every spring, with the aims of (1) helping our diverse students gain a broad knowledge of key advances in areas of relevance to our school while (2) gaining critical skills in evaluation, interpretation, and communication of the scientific literature.

The spring 2014 journal club will be co-led by Ramin Yadegari and me. Students are warmly encouraged to enroll. The time and day for course meetings in the spring semester will be set according to the group's available times. The course number is PLS 695A.

This course is an excellent way for students to fulfill their journal
club requirement (journal club or similar, approved courses are required
as follows: 2 semesters, MS students; 4 semesters, PhD students).

If you're a student, please enroll -- and if you're a faculty member, please encourage your students to enroll.

With thanks,
Betsy
