Hi All,

In today's academic landscape, online presence is becoming increasingly
important. An academic website can serve as a centralized platform to
showcase one's research, publications, and teaching experience and even
communicate with broader audiences. I'll teach participants how to develop
their static website in this two-hour in-person hands-on workshop.
*No prior coding experience is required!*

*Workshop Details:*
*Workshop theme: *From Zero to Website: Crafting a Professional Academic
Website with GitHub Pages and Jekyll
*Target Audience:* Graduate students, post-docs, and other interested
department members.
*Content: *Step-by-step guide on setting up/using Git and GitHub,
installing necessary tools, and building and deploying a live academic
website.
*Outcome:* By the end of the workshop, each participant will have a
functional and professional academic website tailored to their needs.
*Duration of workshop:* 2 hrs (3 pm - 5 pm)
*Venue:* A conference room at Marley (TBC)
*Date:* 11/22/2024
