[Plsgs] Career talk this Friday

Dear Applied Biotechnology undergraduates and PLS/PLP graduate students,

This Friday (2/23) at 9 am, Steve Guo (MS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering) will be talking about his career via Zoom. He is currently the Associate Director for Strain Engineering at Absci<https://www.absci.com/about-us/>, a biologics drug discovery company that uses generative AI and similar technologies to help them design new antibodies, which are then validated in a wet lab. Previous to that, he worked in metabolic engineering of fungi at MycoTechnology<https://www.mycoiq.com/> (mycelia for food) and in bacterial (Bacillus and E. coli) and yeast strain engineering at BASF Enzymes, where we overlapped.
