Dr. Mike Speer<https://www.aiche.org/community/bio/mike-speer>, who is currently the Director of Manufacturing at Oobli<https://oobli.com/> (they make sweet proteins to replace sugars in food products) and who used to work at Impossible Foods, will be talking about his career and about the production side of biotechnology on Friday, February 16 at 9 am. Then, if you're interested in genetically-engineered crops or other aspects of agricultural biotechnology, you can hear from Dr. April Agee-Carroll<https://twitter.com/ageecarroll>, who is currently the Nursery Design and Strategic Lead at Bayer Crop Science<https://www.cropscience.bayer.us/> (who bought out Monsanto) at 10 am the same day and using the same Zoom link as above.

Feel free to join in for either one or both of the talks! Even if you're not particularly interested in working at either of these companies, hearing people talk about their career path can be very helpful when you're trying to figure out what you want (or don't want!) to do.
