Hello all,
We're keeping the registration for the annual SPLS retreat open until Dec. 3 because two students and one postdoc are a little delayed after the Thanksgiving break. A big thank you and applause to all of you that registered and the many that contributed abstracts and posters. It’s awesome to see that all but two students enrolled in the PLS programs, and all ABBS students considering PLS have registered for the retreat. In case you meet any of the two students that did not register: Let them know that you're going to the retreat too!
Here's the website with the program and the registration link: https://splsretreat2023.godaddysites.com/
We are super excited that all of you join us for research talks from new and old faculty, postdocs, and grad students, discussions about the school, a very populated poster session, highlighting the best student and postdoc research in the school, and most importantly, camaraderie. Last but not least, this retreat is intended to be a opportunity for graduate students to raise their voice in the discussions and bring their needs and wants in front of faculty but also an opportunity to understand more about how the school works internally and what faculty tries to achieve outside their labs research to support all you with the infrastructure and environment for a successful PhD.
See you all on Dec. 7/8 for a good time together,
Alex, Ravi, Becca, Amritha, and Giovanni
