Hello Jen!

I just stopped by the Office of Plant Sciences where I was provided with your contact information. We discussed sharing with students GIVEʻs service-learning opportunities in Hawaiʻi, Thailand, Laos, Tanzania and Nicaragua. We are also starting up a GIVE student group on campus that supports local volunteer initiatives in the Tucson community!

In rural communities around the world, we are working with local educators, nonprofits, and institutions to demonstrate best practices in regenerative agriculture and provide free capacity-building workshops for local farmers. I believe your students will be really excited about these opportunities and could certainly benefit from the experience.

As a past volunteer, I can personally speak to the level of personal and professional growth I gained, and would love to share information more about these opportunities with your students. Iʻve included an email draft below with details about the info sessions weʻre having on campus tomorrow. If you could please forward it along to students with the attached flyer I would really appreciate it!

Please let me know if I can provide you with any additional materials or information, and feel free to pass this along to students, faculty, and anyone else who might be interested.

As a GIVE volunteer, you will get to work alongside our host communities on wildlife conservation, English education, eco-friendly infrastructure, womenʻs empowerment, regenerative agriculture, marine conservation, and forest restoration projects.

You will also get to expand your comfort zone and embark on epic adventures like an African safari, trekking with elephants, sandboarding down an active volcano, scuba diving with sea turtles, dolphins, and sharks, whitewater and bamboo rafting, whale-watching and so much more!

All of our trips are designed to ensure that your presence in our host countries and communities is environmentally conscious, economically empowering and socially responsible. Learn what it means to be a responsible traveler and have a net positive impact on the places you explore.
