[Plsgs] FREE PIZZA and an SPLS grad student club!!!

Hello fellow SPLS grad students:



My name is Ally Dalaya and I am a 2nd year PhD student in SPLS. Some
students have brought up the idea of restarting the graduate student club
in SPLS so that we can get together regularly, share our research with each
other, plan social events (such as a semesterly softball/kickball game,
trivia night etc), assist each other with comprehensive exam studying, and
work on professional development. I have researched how to create an ASUA
recognized club and wanted to schedule a meeting for everyone to discuss
this idea!




*The gist*:  Graduate student club discussion with pizza :)

*Where*: 3rd floor conference room in the Marley building. Pizza from No
Anchovies and soft drinks will be provided. Please let me know if you have
any dietary restrictions, or pizza flavor preferences.

The objective of this meeting is to gauge interest in restarting the
graduate student club for SPLS. If people are interested, we would hold a
brief election for executive board members (President, treasurer, etc),
and adopt a constitution. We would also discuss creating a new name for
this club- suggestions are welcome and encouraged. Current suggestions
include PPHAGE: Plant sciences and Phytopathology Association for Graduate
Education, Phytofiends, and Phytocats.
