Graduate Writing Lab
The Graduate Writing Lab (GWL) offers free consultations by appointment with trained and certified peer tutors. Our graduate tutors will discuss any kind of writing at any point in the process. During each session, tutors get acquainted with the student's writing, answer questions, identify patterns, make recommendations, and help the student come up with a plan for moving forward. Tutors can serve as a second set of eyes on personal statements, application essays, lab reports, theses, dissertations, resumes, and even professional emails.

American Australian Association Scholarships
The American-Australian Education Fund provides scholarship awards of up to $40,000 to support graduate level study or post-doctoral research in two directions: Australian Citizens travelling to the US and US Citizens traveling to Australia. Studying or conducting research within the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, sustainability, medicine, and health sciences (scholarships also available in Indigenous Education, the arts, and for Veterans)

Belgian American Educational Foundation (BAEF) Fellowships for Study or Research in Belgium
The BAEF encourages applications for fellowships for advanced study or research during one academic year, at a Belgian University or institution of higher learning.  The B.A.E.F. will award up to ten fellowships as outright non-renewable grants carrying a stipend of $28,000 for Master's or Ph.D. students and $32,000 for Post-doctoral Fellows.

Climate Assessment for the SW (CLIMAS) Environment & Society Graduate Fellowship
The Environment & Society Fellowship was created in 2013 as a funding opportunity for graduate students to practice use-inspired research and science communication. The Fellowship supports projects that connect social or physical sciences, the environment, and decision-making. Projects must be collaborative and address research and information needs voiced by the students' project partners. Proposals should fall under one or more of these categories: scoping research, dissertation/thesis work, a discrete 1-year project, outreach, and/or network building. The fellowship is open to students conducting research anywhere in the world.

Getty Foundation Pre- and Postdoctoral Fellowships
Getty Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships are intended for emerging scholars to complete work on projects related to the Getty Research Institute's annual research theme  or the African American Art History Initiative. Recipients are in residence at the Getty Research Institute or Getty Villa, where they pursue research projects, complete their dissertations, or expand dissertation for publication. Fellows make use of the Getty collections, join in a weekly meeting devoted to the annual theme, and participate in the intellectual life of the Getty.

Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowships
The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) invites applications for Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowships, which support a year of research and writing to help advanced graduate students in the humanities and interpretive social sciences in the last year of PhD dissertation writing. The program encourages timely completion of the PhD and is open to scholars pursuing humanistic research on topics grounded in any time period, world region, or methodology. Applicants must be prepared to complete their dissertations within the period of their fellowship tenure and no later than August 31, 2023. A grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation supports this program.

Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program
PMF Program is a flagship leadership development program at the entry level for advanced degree candidates. The PMF Program inculcates a lasting bond as well as a spirit of public service, ultimately encouraging and leading to a career in the government. Your two-year appointment will provide a fast-paced opportunity to gain experience and develop your talents. You will be challenged with opportunities to flourish into a problem solver, strategic thinker and future leader. In addition to working at a single Federal agency, you may have the option to participate in a rotational opportunity at another agency. Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center Research Fellowships for Oman
In 2010, SQCC established its Research Fellowship Program, which aims to promote and cultivate scholarly research about Oman across several academic disciplines. The fellowship is open to PhD candidates and university academics who are US citizens or affiliated with an American university, and funds one scholar or team of scholars to carry out research in Oman each year. The fellowship awards up to $51,000 for the fellow or team of fellows.

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships Competition
The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships program is designed to support world-class students pursuing doctoral degrees at Canadian universities. The scholarship awards $50,000 per year for three years. The program is open to both Canadian and international students. 18th Street Residencies

Location Los Angeles. There are five types of residencies, including local organizations in residence, where arts organizations have their offices and activities on our campus; local artists in residence, where LA-based artist occupy either live/work or day work studios for one year or more; a visiting artist program that hosts international and national artists and curators from between one and three months; a curator in residence, who has studio space for one calendar year to conduct research and foster community engagement through ancillary programs, such as symposia, lectures, and artist talks; and the Artist Lab Residency program, structured as both a residency and an exhibition for an LA-based artist (by invitation).

AERA Minority Dissertation Fellowship in Education Research
The American Educational Research Association (AERA) is pleased to announce the AERA Minority Dissertation Fellowship in Education Research. The Council of the AERA established the fellowship program to provide support for doctoral dissertation research, to advance education research by outstanding minority graduate students, and to improve the quality and diversity of university faculties. This fellowship is targeted for members of racial and ethnic groups historically underrepresented in higher education (e.g., African Americans, Alaskan Natives, American Indians, Asian Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, and Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islanders). This program offers doctoral fellowships to enhance the competitiveness of outstanding minority scholars for academic appointments at major research universities. American Academy in Rome - Rome Prize
For over a century, the American Academy in Rome has awarded the Rome Prize to support innovative and cross-disciplinary work in the arts and humanities. Camargo Foundation Core Program in Arts and Humanities
The Core Program is the flagship program of the Camargo Foundation. Since 1971, the Camargo Foundation has awarded residencies to over 800 Core Program Fellows as part of its mission to support groundbreaking research, experimentation, and interdisciplinary approaches in the Arts and Humanities. Each year, an esteemed panel of scholars and arts professionals selects 18 individuals or teams from over 1,000 submissions from around the world. Winners are awarded residencies in a stunning, contemplative environment where they have the space, time, and freedom to think, create, and connect. Fellowships span 6 to 11 weeks. With each cohort of Fellows, the Foundation strives to foster connections between research and creation.

Dissertation Fellowships for Republic of China Students Abroad
Doctoral candidates may apply for fellowships for the completion of dissertations in the humanities and social sciences. Applicants for ROC dissertation fellowships must be doing research on topics related to Chinese culture and society, the development of the Republic of China, or Taiwan Studies. Their dissertations should cover one of the following fields: literature, history, philosophy, linguistics, art, sociology, anthropology, psychology, political science, legal studies, economics, or media studies.

  *   Deadline: October 15, 2021
  *   Citizenship: Only doctoral candidates who are Republic of China (ROC) citizens and who are completing the last stage of their Ph.D. research at an accredited university in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, or South America may apply. International Dissertation Research Fellowship
The Mellon International Dissertation Research Fellowship (IDRF) offers nine to twelve months of support to graduate students in the humanities and humanistic social sciences who are enrolled in PhD programs in the United States and conducting dissertation research on non-US topics. Seventy fellowships are awarded annually. Fellowship amounts vary depending on the research plan, with a per-fellowship average of $23,000. The fellowship includes participation in an SSRC-funded interdisciplinary workshop upon the completion of IDRF-funded research. The program is open to graduate students in the humanities and humanistic social sciences.

Lighthouse Works Fellowship
Lighthouse Works' Fellowship Program is an artist-in-residence program that strives to support artists and writers working in the vanguard of their creative fields. The program accepts artists working in a wide range of disciplines, but we are best able to accommodate visual artists and writers. Fellowships are six weeks in length, occur year-round and provide fellows with housing, food, studio space, a $250 travel allowance and a $1,500 stipend. Artistic excellence is the primary criteria for acceptance as a Lighthouse Works fellow.

National Academy of Education (NAEd)/Spencer Fellowships in Education Research
The Dissertation Fellowship Program seeks to encourage a new generation of scholars from a wide range of disciplines and professional fields to undertake research relevant to the improvement of education. These $27,500 fellowships support individuals whose dissertations show potential for bringing fresh and constructive perspectives to the history, theory, or practice of formal or informal education anywhere around the world. American Concrete Institute (ACI) Foundation Fellowships
The ACI Foundation awards more than $200,000 annually to students to both further their studies, and which provides professional exposure to the concrete industry and ACI by funding their travel to a number of ACI Concrete Convention and Expositions. Promoted globally through ACI's network of faculty members, these awards are given to the brightest and best students studying concrete.

Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Program
The SCGSR program supports supplemental awards to outstanding U.S. graduate students to conduct part of their graduate thesis research at a DOE national laboratory/facility in collaboration with a DOE laboratory scientist for a period of 3 to 12 consecutive months-with the goal of preparing graduate students for scientific and technical careers critically important to the DOE Office of Science mission. Graduate students currently pursuing Ph.D. degrees in areas of physics, chemistry, material sciences, biology (non-medical), mathematics, engineering, computer or computational sciences, or specific areas of environmental sciences that are aligned with the mission of the Office of Science are eligible to apply.

Facebook Fellowship
The Facebook Fellowship Program and Emerging Scholar Awards are designed to encourage and support promising doctoral students who are engaged in innovative and relevant research in areas related to computer science and engineering. Strong collaboration with faculty, students and universities is vital to IBM. The IBM PhD Fellowship Program advances this collaboration by recognizing and supporting exceptional PhD students who want to make their mark in promising and disruptive technologies. Focus areas include the following topics of particular interest: Hybrid Cloud, Quantum Computing/Quantum Systems, AI, Cloud/Open Source Technologies, Security/Cyber Security, Data Science, and Systems. Microwave Engineering Fellowship/Microwave Engineering for Medical Applications Fellowship
The purpose of the fellowship is to recognize and provide financial assistance to graduate students who show promise and interest in pursuing a graduate degree in applying microwave engineering to medical applications. The student must be actively pursuing a graduate degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, biomedical engineering or other appropriate field on a full-time basis at an accredited institution of higher learning. It is expected that the student will be engaged in studies and research or thesis related activities for at least 12 months following the award. Research work must clearly involve the application of RF and microwave techniques to medical problems, supervised by a full-time faculty supervisor.

National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship Program (NDSEG)
The National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship Program (NDSEG) of the US Department of Defense is intended for students at or near the beginning of graduate study for doctoral degrees in mathematical, physical, biological, and engineering sciences. It is a three-year award, which includes a stipend, plus full tuition and fees, not including room and board.

National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships (NSF GRFP)
The National Science Foundation aims to ensure the vitality of the human resource base in biological science, technology, engineering, mathematics, physical science, earth science, and social science in the United States and to reinforce its diversity by offering approximately 1,600 graduate fellowships in this competition. The Graduate Research Fellowship provides three years of support for graduate study leading to research-based masters or doctoral degrees and is intended for students who are at the early stages of their graduate study.

Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Curatorial Fellowship
This two-year fellowship at The Met provides curatorial training and an opportunity for the fellow to engage with a community of scholars from around the world. The fellow is fully integrated into one of the Museum's curatorial departments, while devoting his or her time to a specific Met project. The individual works directly with one or more curators, who serve as supervisors and mentors throughout the term of the fellowship. The fellow also has the opportunity to undertake an independent project in consultation with his or her supervising curator. Through weekly gatherings and discussions, the fellow takes part in research-sharing and workshops that expand dialogue and foster a community of intellectual engagement.

National Academy of Education (NAEd)/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowships
The Postdoctoral Fellowship Program supports early-career scholars working in critical areas of educational scholarship. Fellows will receive $70,000 for one academic year of research, or $35,000 for each of two contiguous years, working half time. Fellows will also attend professional development retreats and receive mentorship from NAEd members and other senior scholars in their field. For the current application cycle, applicants must have had their PhD, EdD, or equivalent research degree conferred between January 1, 2014, and December 31, 2018.  This fellowship is non-residential, and applications from all disciplines are encouraged.

Society for the Humanities Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships in Anthropology & Romance Studies
The Society for the Humanities will sponsor two postdoctoral teaching-research fellowships in the humanities, each awarded for the two-year period beginning August 2022. Each fellowship offers a stipend of $56,000/year. While in residence at Cornell, Mellon Fellows hold department affiliations and joint appointments with the Society for the Humanities, have limited teaching duties, and the opportunity for scholarly work. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships are available in two areas of specialization: Anthropology and Romance Studies.
