Please see email below about funding opportunities.
We want to be sure that your incoming students are aware of the university wide support that is available to them.
NSF GRFP
If you have students applying to the NSF GRFP, please encourage them to participate in our NSF GRFP Application Development Program<https://grad.arizona.edu/ofce/application-development-programs/nsf-graduate-research-fellowship-program>. I've copied an announcement below that you can forward to students if you like.
Alternatives to the NSF GRFP
Also, many first-year graduate students are waiting to apply to the GRFP. But we hope you are encouraging them to apply to other opportunities. I've made a list<https://grad.arizona.edu/ofce/articles/2021/09/six-alternatives-nsf-grfp-first-year-grad-students> of six alternatives to the NSF GRFP for first-year graduate students. We have a workshop<https://grad.arizona.edu/ofce/workshop-and-presentation-materials> on the Hertz coming up next week. Feel free to forward the list to your students as well.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Shelley
