UC3 Collaborative Sustainability Fellowship Program Application
The 2021-2022 University Climate Change Coalition (UC3) Collaborative Sustainability Fellowship Program is accepting applications for paid fellowship opportunities that generally overlap with the 2021-2022 academic year (August 2021-June 2022). This program is focused on solutions to pressing climate and environmental issues that require collaborative approaches to problem solving.

Fellows accepted into the program will be paired with a team of community and university mentors to develop and implement place-based projects that engage the campus and surrounding communities in developing solutions related to sustainability, environment, and/or climate action. Additionally, Fellows will engage in training coordinated by UC3 to develop skills related to building collaborative solutions to a range of problems.
Student fellows may choose to pursue internship credit via the enrollment of up to 3 academic credit hours through university departments as appropriate, but this is not required.
Eligible members:
* University of Arizona students (undergraduate and graduate),
* University of Arizona faculty/staff, and
* local residents (Tucson/Pima County) and tribal community members.
* People representing traditionally underserved populations and communities are particularly encouraged to apply.
No prior experience is required for the fellowship opportunity; applicants will be prepared to accomplish program goals through support from mentors within the program.

Water Resources Community Science Outreach Coordinator
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is partnering with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to hire a community science outreach coordinator. This is a four year position with the Louisiana Sea Grant College Program in Baton Rouge. The coordinator will assist the above federal agencies in increasing diversity in community science as well as accessibility and usability of community collected data by federal agencies and others.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree
* Two (2) years of experience working with outreach and / or education groups, particularly translating science for the public.
* Experience coordinating activities in a timely and efficient manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's Degree
* Two (2) years of experience working with community or citizen science efforts.

Native Land Trust Council Executive Director Job Opening
The Native Land Trust Council (NLTC), is an intertribal, emerging non-profit organization. Their mission is to support, strengthen and promote the cultural conservation and stewardship initiatives of Indigenous Native Peoples’ land trusts and conservancies that protect and preserve traditional resources and ways of life.
Native Land Trust Council Executive Director Job Description
The Executive Director (ED) works full-time (40-hours per week) remotely from their home office. In addition to fundraising, the Executive Director will develop and maintain the NLTC’s program management, administration, financial reporting, as well as strengthen new and existing community partnerships in support of the NLTC’s mission.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Native American candidates are encouraged to apply.
· Experience working with Native American tribes and nonprofits;
· Familiarity with the tribal community and tribal government;
· Fundraising, grant writing, and professional management experience along with proven leadership ability and interpersonal skills;
· Strong marketing and public relations skills;
· Excellent oral, written, listening, communication skills and ability to work with diverse constituents;
· Has an enterprising spirit;
· Planning, organizational, budgeting and computer skills;
· Integrity and understanding of ethical business practices;
· Ability to integrate climate change and sustainability strategies rooted in traditional knowledge and practices;
· Ability to work remotely and independently;
· Flexibility to travel and attend meetings;
· Donor relations experience;
· Sense of humor
Desired Qualifications
· Experience working in environmental conservation or possessing a demonstrated environmental ethic;
· Experience generating and managing organizational revenue from multiple funding sources, including but not limited to grant and contract management;
· Experience negotiating MOUs/MOAs with diverse entities;
· After the pandemic, must be willing to travel to Sacramento, CA regularly and to other locations in the U.S.
Compensation: $80K – $90K per year initially, working as a 40 hr/wk independent contractor.
