Hello. The Writing Skills Improvement Program here at the University of Arizona will facilitate the Graduate Writing Institute (GWI) in June 2021. The GWI is a 3-week writing-intensive program intended for graduate students working on advanced scholarly documents,  including proposals, articles, and thesis and dissertation chapters. The GWI has been held each summer for several years and has supported numerous students successfully meet their writing goals. Our instructional focus is on developing academic writing skills, productivity, and proficiency for students across all disciplines. We invite you to share this information with your students and hope you will encourage them to apply. Please note that we do not accept students working on comprehensive exams.



The GWI will take place from June 7-23, Monday through Friday (hours will vary depending on tutoring schedule). The fee is $175 per student for University of Arizona graduate students. The GWI will be held entirely online again this year. Accepted students will participate in writing workshops, writing boot camps, individual tutoring, and small group tutoring. The application deadline is April 16, 2021.
