University of Arizona Grad Slam
Grad Slam is a campus-wide competition for the best 3-minute talk about student research and discovery. All disciplines are encouraged to participate. Presenters will be evaluated on their ability to convey in a compelling fashion the value of their research or creative work to a non-specialist audience within the 3-minute time limit. Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) Dissertation Award Program
The ACUNS Dissertation Fellowship Award recognizes emerging students of extraordinary potential who have reached the stage of writing an advanced graduate-level dissertation on a topic of direct and demonstrable relevance to the United Nations and/or the UN system. Applications not thus related to the UN and/or UN system will not be considered. An important component of the Award for its winner is the recognition of excellence that this entails throughout ACUNS’ global community of scholars and practitioners. The Award also includes a monetary component in the amount of $1,500.00 US. AccessLex Institute Legal Education Diversity Pipeline Grant Program
The Diversity Pipeline Research Grant Program provides funding to programs and initiatives aimed at helping college students and/or college graduates from historically underrepresented groups successfully matriculate into law school and the legal profession. The central goal of the grant is to increase the knowledge base around effective methods for increasing the enrollment and success of law students from historically underrepresented racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. Accordingly, we seek to fund collaborative programs that provide participants with meaningful content and experiences as well as holistic support. Funded programs must engage in rigorous program evaluation, systematically measuring outcomes and identifying scalable best practices.

AccessLex Institute Research and Dissertation Fellow Program
The Research and Dissertation Fellows Program is a partnership between AccessLex Institute and the Association for Institutional Research (AIR), designed to promote scholarship on issues related to access, affordability and the value of graduate and professional education. Preference is given to proposals focusing on diversity in legal education or the profession; the bar exam; or graduate and professional school finance, student aid or financial education. In addition, proposals utilizing regional, national or multi-institutional datasets are encouraged. Single institution research proposals that are designed to yield findings that are scalable and replicable are also accepted. This grant program awards $50,000 to scholars and $25,000 to doctoral students to support year-long research projects. Researchers may analyze pre-existing data or include the construction of a new dataset in their proposal.

Aga Khan Foundation for International Students
The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from select developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies, in order to develop effective scholars and leaders and to prepare them for employment, primarily within the AKDN. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant: 50% loan basis through a competitive application process once a year in June or July. The Foundation gives priority to requests for Master's level courses but is willing to consider applications for PhD programmes, only in the case of outstanding students who are highly recommended for doctoral studies by their professors and who need a PhD for the fulfilment of their career objectives (academic or research oriented).

Aspen Tech/Data Policy Summer Fellowship
At the Aspen Tech Policy Hub, we take tech experts, teach them the policy process through an in-person fellowship program in the Bay Area, and encourage them to develop outside-the-box solutions to society’s problems. We model ourselves after tech incubators like Y Combinator, but train new policy thinkers and focus the impact of their ideas. We’re building new ideas for policymaking—every fellow must complete one practical policy output during their time with us—and an alumni base of technologists who understand policy and want to engage with it.

Mathematica Policy Research Summer Fellowships
The Summer Fellowship Program at Mathematica welcomes doctoral students to spend 12 weeks at one of Mathematica’s office locations. Fellows will work on their own independent research project (typically their dissertation), which will intersect with one or more of Mathematica’s focus areas: health, human services, and international research. Fellows will be mentored by senior staff, learn about Mathematica and its work, and have the opportunity to shadow Mathematica research projects and proposals. National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF)
NIJ — the research, development and evaluation agency of the U.S. Department of Justice — is dedicated to improving knowledge and understanding of crime and justice issues through science. NIJ provides objective and independent knowledge and tools to inform the decision-making of the criminal justice community to reduce crime and advance justice, particularly at the state and local levels. The goal of the GRF program is to increase the pool of scholars engaged in research that addresses the challenges of crime and justice in the United States, particularly at the state and local levels. UArizona/NASA Space Grant Graduate Outreach Fellowships
The UA/NASA Space Grant Program and nominating departments provide six graduate fellowships per year to exceptional graduate students interested in promoting the understanding of space-related research to the public and who are studying space sciences/engineering, public policy, earth sciences, science education, or global change-related fields. Space Grant fellows are required to complete an educational outreach project as part of their fellowship. Fellowships include a stipend of $16,000 for up to two years, both in-state and out-of-state fee/tuition waivers, student health insurance, and $750/year for travel to professional meetings. Open Technology Fund Information Controls Pre- and Post-Doctoral Fellowship
The Information Controls Fellowship Program (ICFP) cultivates research, outputs, and creative collaboration on topics related to repressive internet censorship and surveillance. The ICFP supports examination into how governments in countries, regions, or areas of OTF’s core focus are restricting the free flow of information, cutting access to the open internet, and implementing censorship mechanisms, thereby threatening the ability of global citizens to exercise basic human rights and democracy; work focused on mitigation of such threats is also supported. Property and Environmental Research Center Fellowships
PERC Graduate Fellowships offer the ideal opportunity for graduate and law students to research issues related to natural resources, innovation, property rights, and the environment. Graduate fellows spend three months at PERC over the summer in Bozeman, Montana, researching and writing a paper under the mentorship of a PERC Senior Fellow. Tinker Summer Field Research Grant (UA)

The Voices of the Wilderness artist residency is a unique opportunity. It is modeled after traditional residencies in the national parks... with a twist. InsteadSusan Watkins painting in Nellie Juan-College Fiord WSA 2012. of staying at a remote wilderness cabin, our participating artists are paired with a wilderness specialist and actively engaged in stewardship projects, such as research, monitoring, and education. The idea is to give artists a sense of the stewardship behind America’s public lands, fostering an artistic exploration of these natural and cultural treasures. The hoped-for result is artwork that communicates something of the meaning of these lands.

History Colorado is seeking three recipients for its Center for Colorado Women’s History Fall Fellowship. We invite scholars, activists, artists, musicians and writers who are engaged in the expansion and expression of knowledge to help inform the understanding of women in Colorado’s history, specifically through the interdisciplinary lens and methodologies of women’s studies, gender studies, and/or race and ethnic studies. Scholars, activists, artists, musicians, and/or writers will focus on the generation of knowledge and/or the expression of history within the scope of the interdisciplinary fields of women’s studies, gender studies and ethnic studies. Houston Center for Contemporary Craft Residency Program

Kerouac Project Residencies for Writers
The Kerouac Project provides four residencies a year to writers of any stripe or age, living anywhere in the world. In the past we have accepted writers with no formal writing education alongside those with MFA’s and impressive résumés. You will be judged on the quality of the writing sample you submit. Each residency consists of approximately a three month stay in the cottage where Jack Kerouac wrote his novel Dharma Bums. Utilities and a food stipend of $1,000 are included. As writer-in-residence, all you are required to do is live in the Kerouac House during your residency, work on your writing project, and participate in two events—a Welcome Potluck dinner for you, and a Final Reading of your work at the Kerouac House at the end of your residency. MacDowell Colony Fellowship

Mellon Graduate Fellowship in “Neoliberalism at the Neopopulist Crossroads”
Applications are invited from graduate students at the ABD level in all doctoral programs at the University of Arizona for two one-year, non-renewable Graduate Fellowships associated with a Mellon-funded Sawyer Seminar on the subject of “Neoliberalism at the Neopopulist Crossroads.” This Sawyer Seminar will re-evaluate prevailing theories of neoliberalism’s intellectual histories, political imaginations and cultural practices in light of the tumultuous turn toward right-wing populisms that has occurred in many parts of the globe. We will consider to what extent the new populist movements and governments represent a forceful reaction to the changes effected by neoliberalism, especially since the economic crisis of 2008. Experimental Psychology Society (EPS) Grants for Study Visits

Gettysburg College - The Postdoctoral Fellowship
The Consortium for Faculty Diversity at Liberal Arts Colleges invites applications in all disciplines for Scholar-in-Residence appointments at more than 50 nationally ranked institutions. The postdoctoral fellowship is intended for scholars who have been awarded the Ph.D. or M.F.A. no later than the beginning of the fellowship year and no earlier than five years before the beginning of the fellowship year. Postdoctoral fellows will receive compensation commensurate with the salary of a full-time, one-year faculty member with comparable qualifications. Modest funds could be made available to finance proposed research, mentoring of teaching, and scholarship. The funds allocated for these activities will be subject to the usual institutional procedures. Postdoctoral fellowship recipients will be expected to teach up to 60% of a full-time faculty's course load at a host institution, participate in departmental seminars, and interact regularly with students.

National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) Postdoctoral Fellowship
Fellowships offer postdoctoral research opportunities in earth science, heliophysics, planetary science, astrophysics, space bioscience, aeronautics and engineering, human exploration and space operations, and astrobiology. Fellows participate in NASA mission-related activities as guests at NASA Centers, Headquarters, and other NASA-approved sites. Each Fellowship is tied to a specific research opportunity located at a NASA Center. The fellow must relocate to the Center for the duration of the fellowship. In the case of virtual Centers such as the NASA Astrobiology Institute, the fellow must relocate to the university location of the advisor listed on the research opportunity. The fellowships are for 1-3 years.

Ruth L Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Postdoctoral Fellowship
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) offers up to 3 years of fellowship support for postdoctoral scholars interested in biomedical and behavioral research. The purpose of the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Postdoctoral Fellowship is to enhance the research training of promising postdoctoral candidates who have the potential to become productive, independent investigators in scientific health-related research fields relevant to the missions of the participating NIH Institutes and Centers. Awards are made to individual applicants for specific training proposals. The scholarship is named after Dr. Ruth L. Kirschstein. Aside from Dr. Kirschstein's scientific accomplishments in polio vaccine development, and becoming the first woman director of an NIH Institute, she was a champion of research training and a strong advocate for the inclusion of underrepresented individuals in the scientific workforce.

Specialized Training Program in the Demography and Economics of Aging at the University of Chicago’s Center for Health and Social Sciences (CHeSS)
The Specialized Training Program in the Demography and Economics of Aging at the University of Chicago, funded by the National Institute of Aging (T32 AG000243), trains doctoral recipients interested in the fields of demography and economics of aging through the development of basic and applied research and policy-making and analysis. This training program is administered by the University of Chicago’s Center for Health and Social Sciences (CHeSS) and is affiliated with the Aging Action Research Network (AARN) at NORC at the University of Chicago. The training program offers two postdoctoral fellowships. The goal of these postdoctoral fellowships is to train recent doctoral recipients interested in the demographic and economic analysis of aging through the development of basic methodological tools, applied research, policy-making and analysis, and professional development.

United Nations University Institute of Advanced Study of Sustainability and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS)
Jointly organized by the United Nations University and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), the JSPS–UNU Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme is designed to provide promising, highly qualified, young researchers with the opportunity to conduct advanced research in sustainability in co-operation with host researchers at Japanese universities and research institutions. Under this programme fellows conduct research relevant to one or more of the main thematic focus areas of UNU-IAS: sustainable societies, natural capital & biodiversity, and global change & resilience. Research proposals for JSPS–UNU Postdoctoral Fellowships should relate clearly to one of the specific research areas of UNU-IAS listed below. Wenner-Gren Foundation Hunt Postdoctoral Fellowship
Hunt Postdoctoral Fellowships support the writing-up of already completed research. The fellowship is awarded to scholars in the earlier stages of their careers, when they frequently lack the time and resources to develop their research for publication. By providing funds for scholars to devote themselves full-time to writing, the Foundation aims to enable a new generation of scholars to publish significant works that will impact the development of anthropology. The program contributes to the Foundation's overall mission to support basic research in anthropology and to ensure that the discipline continues to be a source of vibrant and significant work that furthers our understanding of humanity's cultural and biological origins, development, and variation. The Foundation supports research that demonstrates a clear link to anthropological theory and debates, and promises to make a solid contribution to advancing these ideas. There is no preference for any methodology, research location, or subfield. The Foundation particularly welcomes proposals that employ a comparative perspective, can generate innovative approaches or ideas, and/or integrate two or more subfields.
