New employees (and even CEOs!) often struggle with Impostor Syndrome, the feeling of being a fraud and the fear of being found out. People experiencing this self-doubt may attribute their accomplishments to luck and think their peers are more knowledgeable or competent. Since this commonly affects careers, it's important to recognize Impostor Syndrome, work to overcome it, and develop greater confidence. The workshop will discuss the syndrome and strategies for addressing it.
The Graduate Center looks forward to seeing you at the workshop.
Sincerely,
Meg Lota Brown
Faculty Director
Graduate Center, a unit of the Graduate College
Professor of English
