Hello!

With funding from the UA Office of the Provost, the Women in STEM Student Council (WiSSC) will oversee two funding competitions during the spring of 2019 aimed at supporting the entry, persistence, and success of women in STEM fields.

The first is a Travel Grant program to cover funds for student travel for academic or professional development from January 1 - June 30, 2019. The grant will cover reimbursable travel expenses up to $500 for individual University of Arizona students. Awards can cover airfare, hotel/lodging, local transportation, and event registration fees.

The second competition is for Program Grants which will fund initiatives and events related to the Council's mission of fostering the entry, retention, and success of women in STEM fields. These include, but are not necessarily limited to activities, academic seminars, conferences, meetings with industry representatives, etc. WiSSC will fund up to $500 to cover expenses for programming by a University of Arizona student organization from April 1 - June 1, 2019.

The spring 2019 deadline for applications for both competitions is 11:59pm, March 22, 2019.
