Postdoctoral Research Associate and Graduate Research Assistantships at South Dakota State University

We are inviting applications to fill three positions, one for a postdoc research associate (PRA) and two for graduate (GRA) research assistants, available in Seed Molecular Biology Lab at South Dakota State University (SDSU). The incumbents will join the lab as team members to work on USDA-NIFA grant-funded projects to identify and characterize natural genes controlling seed dormancy or longevity in model systems developed from weedy rice.

Applicants for the postdoctoral research associate (PRA) position must hold a Ph.D. in plant molecular biology, genetics or related areas, and have demonstrated research experience in molecular characterization of transcription factor genes for regulatory mechanisms.
Applicants for the graduate research assistant (GRA) positions must hold a master degree in the above-stated areas, and have research experience in high-throughput genotyping, transcriptomic analysis, or epigenetics.

An application package includes: 1) a cover letter to summarize your qualification and research experience related to one of the positions; 2) curriculum vitae; 3) a list of three referees; and 4) one or a few of your publications. Please send your application package and questions to Dr. Xing-You Gu by email at Xingyou.gu at sdstate.edu <mailto:Xingyou.gu at sdstate.edu> before April 2019.
