SEEKING JUDGES FOR 2019-2020 GRANT ROUNDS: Please volunteer to judge for the GPSC Travel Grants, Research and Projects Grants, and Professional Opportunities Development Grants programs. No experience is necessary-- we'll provide all the training you need to accurately and fairly assess proposals. Previous judges have said it gives them a better idea of how to make their proposals top-notch, too. Time commitment is about 1-3 hours per month. Diversity Fellowship (GRA)




The Sonoran Center for Excellence in Disabilities<https://arizona.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=af018f756d1ccbea4673d3677&id=bbd0de4c91&e=f446cbb14c> in the Department of Family & Community Medicine is recruiting a graduate student for their Diversity Fellowship to gain interdisciplinary training and leadership skills in the disability field. The Diversity Fellowship is intended to involve historically underrepresented people in disability research, practice, and policy. The fellow will receive a 12-month, quarter time research assistantship with tuition remission to work on a statewide needs assessment regarding the healthy transition to adulthood for foster youth with disabilities and special health care needs. Graduate students with knowledge and/or experience working with Native communities and Tribal child welfare agencies are encouraged to apply. We would like the fellow to begin by June 2019.

Summer Fellowship Application Support Program




Do you need summer deadlines to keep your fellowship applications on track?

The Summer 2019 Fellowship Application Support Program offers three deadlines and writing support to assist UA students in completing fellowship applications over the summer.

Eligibility: UA students who are undergraduates applying for post-graduate support OR graduate students applying to graduate or post-doctoral support.
Students do not have to be on campus to participate.

Deadline: Priority deadline to apply for the Application Support program is April 22nd (final deadline is May 13th).

WSIP Summer Graduate Writing Institute




At WSIP’s summer Graduate Writing
Institute, graduate students of various
disciplines work on a writing project
individually and collaboratively. Taught by WSIP faculty , this program helps graduate students complete research projects, articles for publication, conference presentations, grant proposals, theses, and dissertations.

DATES: June 3 - 21, 2019
LOCATION: Online or in person at University of Arizona

APPLICATION FEE: $20 application processing fee for all applicants (does not guarantee acceptance; application will not be considered without payment)

PROGRAM FEE:
•FREE for UA Graduate Students
•$470 for non-UA Graduate Students (due upon acceptance)
APPLICATIONS OPEN: February 2019

*Students may not attend for free in consecutive years; students who withdraw or are withdrawn from the GWI are not eligible to attend the following year.



WRITING WORKSHOPS
Every Mon/Wed 9AM-11AM (U.S.PacificTime)

•WRITING BOOTCAMPS
Every Mon/Wed 11 AM - 12 PM

•FACILITATED TUTORING GROUPS
Small groups of 3-4 students meet with
GWI faculty for 2 hours/twice weekly
(days/times vary)

•INDIVIDUAL TUTORING
Individual tutoring with GWI faculty member for 50 minutes/twice weekly (days/times vary)

The University of Arizona offers reimbursement for qualified, childcare expenses with UofA Childcare Choice.  UofA Childcare Choice - through Life & Work Connections - has two components: an employee program and a student program. Funds are still available to students in need.
